As soon as I started talking with Nevenka about their big day, I knew it was going to be right up my alley. The vibe, a chilled out, laid back wedding day that was all about good food, drink and music and celebrating with all their nearest and dearest, sounded pretty perfect to me. And then I found out it was in my old neck of the woods and they wanted some urban style shots in the backstreet of Redfern which I know well and have always looked at them and thought they’d be great for photos! So I was pretty excited for a Redfern wedding!
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Palm House in the Botanical Gardens in Sydney (an awesome spot for those looking for the perfect weather proof ceremony location) and afterwards the bridal party wandered around the cacti and succulent gardens for a few snaps before Nevenka, Raj and I headed to the grimy backstreets and alleys of Redfern and wander around, laughed and got some rad shots.
The reception was at Three Williams in Redfern and was the perfect venue for their laid back wedding. The food was delicious, the venue was awesome and their drink selection was top notch, throw in the crazy talents of We Play Records and the night was an absolute cracker.
Nev and Raj, I hope (and I’m pretty sure) your wedding day was everything you wanted it to be! It was a beautiful day filled with so much love and good times, and some questionable moves on the dance floor! Thanks for letting me share it all with you two!
